Maverick our spoiled dog, whom we really love too, has a big adjustment coming his way.  He won't be the center of attention all the time anymore :)

I can't believe how much I already love our baby!

14 weeks

Officially in my second trimester!  We are 14 weeks and 1 day pregnant in this picture.  I'm showing a little bit more considering I ate a big lunch :) Not normally like this when I wake up in the mornings.  Probably a good thing since I have a long way to go :)

Baby Lahrman

These were taken at 12 weeks and 1 day.  The baby is now approximately the size of my fist.

Our New Addition

Scott and I are very proud to announce that we are expecting our first baby!  We are due December 21, 2011 :)  A Christmas baby!  I love that I am due around Christmas because it is my FAVORITE holiday!  Scott actually proposed to me on December 23, 2007!!  My only hope is that I am not still in the hospital over Christmas.

Right now I am 14 weeks and 1 day pregnant.  Scott and I waited until we were 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant to tell our families (longest 7 weeks ever!) and about another week or two after that to tell our friends.  We are breaking the barrier by sharing our exciting news on this blog so that everyone knows how excited we are!

We have had 2 regular doctors visits and we completed the first trimester screening tests, which luckily all came back great!  It was SO amazing and exciting to see our baby on the ultrasound- words can't describe the feeling!  I will post the photos of the ultrasound, they are SO cute :)

As for me, I am feeling pretty good now.  I had my days of morning nausea and the feeling of being blotted and VERY tired.  I still have some of those days but things are getting better.  The books and online say that the second trimester is supposed to be the best one, I am really hoping that it is!  I haven't really started to show yet (except after I eat :) ) but I am really excited for the next few months of this pregnancy.  I can't tell you how badly I want to feel the baby move or kick :)

Scott and I are very excited for this next chapter in our lives.  We know that it will definitely take some getting used to and I know that watching us raise a baby is going to be funny, but everything will come to us and we will love this baby more than words can say!
